Salary Criteria

General Criteria

Appointment and salary will be based on.

  • the duties and responsibilities of the position,
  • the employee’s education and experience,
  • internal alignment, and
  • prevailing market conditions as indicated by annual surveys of salaries appropriate to the position

Executive Employees

  • Executive and senior administrator compensation are administered by the President of the University of Alaska system.

Part-time Employees

  • Locate the hourly rate in the appropriate step and grade
  • Calculate the bi-weekly and annual rates of pay based on the expected number of hours worked
