The importance of preventive care
Preventive care is covered 100% by your UA Choice medical and dental plans allowing
you to be proactive about your health and visit your provider for regular check-ups,
screenings, and immunizations. This care is essential for maintaining health and catching
potential issues early - sometimes before symptoms even appear.
What is included in preventive care? (This is not an exhaustive list.)
- Annual wellness exams
- Blood pressure screenings
- Bone density screening
- Cancer screenings including breast, cervical, colorectal, ovarian, and prostate
- Pregnancy screenings
Can I get any preventive screening I want?
No. Some preventive screenings are provided at certain ages and genders based on medical
risk.
How do I confirm which preventive screenings I am eligible for?
- Contact TouchCare by calling 1-866-486-8242, emailing assist@touchcare.com, or opening a ticket on TouchCare's Website
- Contact Premera by calling the number on the back of your Premera ID card
