Volunteers
Requirement: All volunteers at the university are required to complete “UA Safe Title IX Training” prior to their volunteer service.
Tracking: Departments will complete the UA General Volunteer Checklist.
Requesting Volunteer Title IX Training Access:
1) For volunteers affiliated with UAA, UAS, or UA System Office:
The UA department sponsoring the volunteer emails their home campus IT helpdesk with the following information:
- The name of the individual
- The person’s UA ID (if they have one) or Date of Birth
- The person's role or relationship to the University
- The person’s email address
- Request for Blackboard
- The start/end dates access is needed (not to exceed 1 year)

2) For volunteers affiliated with a UAF department:
- Follow the Canvas access instructions on the UAF ORCA website.
3) Volunteers will log-in to the platform that is applicable to their affiliation and can immediately access the "UA Safe Title IX Training ":
DO NOT WORRY! This is the same training regardless of the platform selected. If you’re affiliated with multiple campuses, you may take either training without repercussion or tracking issues.
- Canvas: Follow the access instructions on the UAF ORCA website.
- Blackboard: The training appears under "My Courses" on the volunteer’s UA Learn landing page when they log-in.
Once completing the course the volunteer can print out the completion certificate.
