Sitka Sound Science Center SIRF & SIS Support

Alaska EPSCoR offers support for students, postdocs, or faculty who would like to participate in the Sitka Sound Science Center's "Scientist in Residency Fellowship" (SIRF) or "Scientists in the Schools" (SIS) programs. We prioritize applicants with research interests that relate to Alaska EPSCoR's Interface of Change program goals. We accept applications for this opportunity annually in spring. One applicant is selected for each program each year.

Support for Participation in Sitka Sound Science Center Outreach

Alaska EPSCoR is now accepting applications from students, postdocs, or faculty for funding to participate in the Sitka Sound Science Center's "Scientist in Residency Fellowship" (SIRF) or "Scientists in the Schools" (SIS) programs in spring 2026. We will support one Interface  participant for each program. Those interested in applying for this opportunity should contact Tara Borland, taborland@alaska.edu, by June 16, 2025. We will prioritize applicants with research interests that relate to Alaska EPSCoR's Interface of Change program goals. We will announce our chosen applicants on July 7, 2025.
