NATURAL RESOURCE Description
The University of Alaska will consider fair market value for offers from qualified commercial operators for sand, gravel, rock, peat and other materials from its property throughout the state. Various parcels have demonstrated potential for material extraction. Other parcels may contain material resources; however, the University has not necessarily assessed their potential. Geotechnical surveys may be authorized on University land with a Letter of Entry. The University of Alaska material sale contracts require, among other provisions, proof of insurance, a detailed operating plan and a performance and reclamation bond.
