Renewable Energy

UNIVERSITY PARCELS MAY HAVE POTENTIAL FOR WIND, SOLAR, GEOTHERMAL, AND HYDROPOWER PROJECTS

The possibility of potential future revenue earnings on University lands can be obtained by authorizing projects on University lands for generating renewable energy such as wind, solar, and geothermal to utility companies and private entities.

Working with University of Alaska researchers, wind and solar generation has been established on Bristol Bay and Fairbanks campuses helping to reduce high utility costs.
