Kaydee Van Flein named UAF associate vice chancellor for student affairs

Kaydee Van Flein has agreed to serve as associate vice chancellor for student affairs. Previously, Kaydee and her team combined CSRR and the Department of Equity and Compliance into the unified office we now know as ORCA (Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability).

Angela Lunda named new permanent dean of the UAS School of Education

On June 28, Angela Lunda, Ph.D., became permanent dean of the School of Education at the University of Alaska Southeast. Angie has nearly four decades of classroom and administrative experience in secondary and post-secondary education.

University of Alaska Anchorage names Eric Melch as director of development

UAA announced the appointment of Eric Melch as director of Development, effective July 12, 2026. In his new role, Melch will lead efforts to expand philanthropic support for UAA, advancing the university's mission through strategic fundraising, donor engagement and campaign development.
