Annual Required Notification: Mandatory Training
Dear UA employees,
Mandatory training isn't just a compliance checkbox. It’s an essential way we build a shared understanding of how to create a welcoming environment, protect our UA community, ensure a respectful workplace, and safeguard university resources, while empowering employees with the support to do so.
If you have already completed your training, thank you! If not, the details below will help you get started.
The UA HR Required Training Website is the official, up-to-date record of all university employee Tier 1 training requirements and resources. For more details about UA’s Required Training, please review the UA President’s required training memo.
- Tier 1 Mandatory Employee Trainings
All UA employees must complete Tier 1 foundational trainings. Please review the schedule below to ensure your training status remains up to date:

| UA Safe Title IX | Annual Renewal | Within 30 days of hire; Annually between July 1-October 31 |
| Security Awareness | Annual Renewal | Within 30 days of hire; Annually between July 1- October 31 |
| Behavior-Based Safety | One-Time | Within 30 days of hire |
| Workplace Harassment Prevention | One-Time | Within 30 days of hire |

You can monitor your Tier 1 training completion in two ways:

- Review your Tier 1 Required Training Status Dashboard, or
- Check directly with your supervisor or HR Coordinator (HRC)
- Role-Based Training Requirements
Depending on your job role, campus location, and department policies, additional training requirements may apply beyond Tier 1. Please check with your supervisor for trainings required for your role, and contact the training administrators for completion information.

- Supervisor Foundations Training: NEW Requirement: Complete by June 30, 2027. All UA supervisors must complete the Supervisor Foundations training regardless of how long they have been at UA or the type of employee(s) they supervise.
Supervisor Foundations training can be completed through one of the following formats:

- Online, on-demand training: through LinkedIn Learning
- In‑person training:
- Live Zoom training: Spring 2027 Sessions TBA
