HR Coordinator Training: Payroll Knowledge - Time Sheets & More

Discover the secrets of success to the top three payroll items - Timesheets, Taxable Benefits, and Collections! Time Sheets will include web, paper, revised, late leave adjustments and leave codes. Taxable Benefits will include gift cards, tips, travel, etc. Collections will include keys, parking, citations and more. 

Expected Outcome: The "how, when, and why" to support your payroll team's ability to meet deadlines.

    Headache to Headway: Understanding & Managing Migraines
    Are debilitating headaches or migraines disrupting your daily life? This month's TouchCare webinar is designed to help you understand and manage these common neurological conditions. TouchCare will be joined by Dr. Regina Krel, MD, FAHS, Neurologist at Hackensack Meridian Health to discuss underlying causes, triggers, and treatment options for headaches and migraines.

    Supervisors: Lunch & Learn Program
    The UA HR team is pleased to invite all supervisors to join the interactive Lunch & Learn Program designed specifically for supervisors. In each session, UA HR will provide updates, and supervisors will have the opportunity to ask HR related questions.

These 45-minute Zoom sessions are held at noon on the last Wednesday of each month. The Zoom link can be found in direct emails to supervisors which arrive the Tuesday prior.

 


Coming Soon! LinkedIn Learning for all UA employees

The UA employee development resource, LinkedIn Learning, is launching September 22, 2023. Previously, Staff Alliance offered a limited number of licenses to staff only through the Staff Development Fund. With Staff Alliance transitioning the license to UA HR, an expanded license is being implemented as a development resource for use by all UA employees. 

Benefits of LinkedIn Learning

  • Learn from any desktop or mobile device
  • 40 new courses added weekly, on average
  • Available bite-size tutorials for just-in-time learning
  • Professional certificates, certificate preparation, CEUs, skill development

If you already use a Linkedin Learning license, you will be able to associate your completed activities with your UA account. Stay tuned as more information will be shared soon.

 


Coming October 10: Attracting Today’s Top Talent

Want to learn how to write effective job postings that resonate with today’s top talent in just an hour’s time? Yes- it only takes an hour to learn these skills, with invaluable results!

Nationally, there is a shift in the way applicants are looking at job postings. In order to be competitive and attract highly qualified candidates to our university, UA is adjusting the way we write our job postings.

The UA HR Talent Acquisition and Development team (UA TA&D) invites you to spend an hour with nationally known job posting expert, Katrina Kibben of Three Ears Media, learning techniques assisting in attracting talented job candidates on October 10th. Kat will share their expertise on how to quickly create inclusive and highly effective job postings and position titles. 

 Learning outcomes include:

o  How to choose job titles that best market your position, increasing traffic to your posts,

o  Techniques for creating mandatory requirements that make the right people apply,

o  Tips for measuring the results of a great job post,

o  Resource materials empowering attendees to craft postings,  

o  And much more!

Who should attend? Anyone interested in learning this new skill! Hiring Authorities/Supervisors and HR Coordinators are strongly encouraged to attend. Please bring a posting to practice on.
