Stacey received her B.S. degree from the College of Idaho in Caldwell. She accepted her first teaching position in Idaho with the Vallivue School District teaching elementary grade levels 3 and 4. After being raised in Idaho and completing five years of teaching there, she moved onto the Bering Strait School District where she has spent the last three years in the village of Gambell on St. Lawrence Island. She taught a variety of content areas, as well as multi-aged classrooms, within the elementary throughout her time there. Stacey plans to begin pursuing her masters in Educational Leadership this year with the University of Alaska Anchorage.
"I am so excited to be mentoring new teachers and guiding them through their first developing years of this profession. To be a part of student learning and supporting teachers with their learning along the way should be a very rewarding experience. I am anxious to share, reflect, interact, assist, and encourage our teachers across Alaska."
