Mentor coaches
Mentor coaches support ASMP mentors by helping to enhance their mentoring skills. They provide guidance on using mentoring tools effectively, setting meaningful goals aligned with mentor standards, navigating logistical challenges (like travel and workload), and adapting materials to include Alaska’s unique contexts.

Mentors
ASMP mentor are experienced Alaskan educators who provide individualized, non-evaluative support to first- and second-year teachers. Mentors guide new teachers through reflective practice, culturally responsive instruction, and day-to-day classroom challenges, helping them grow both professionally and personally.
