2019 - to Present
I am a lifelong Alaskan, and so excited to work with the Alaska Statewide Mentor Project! I completed 29 years in education and can’t wait to work with early career teachers and their classrooms! I have a B.Ed. with Elementary and Early Childhood Endorsements as well as an M.Ed. in Cross Cultural Education from UAF. Besides teaching grades K-6 in Allakaket and Fairbanks, I have also worked as a Cross Cultural Partner Teacher and a Learning Styles Partner Teacher. A certified Dunn and Dunn Learning Styles Trainor, I have presented workshops to teachers through the Association of Interior Natives Educators in the Interior, North Slope, and Northwest Arctic regions of Alaska.

“Creating the space and time to reflect on lessons, classroom design, behavior management, grades, and so many more dynamics, for early career teachers, is necessary for growth and development in practice, which improves the educational experience of Alaska’s children.”
