Melissa Cloud
Areas of interest for Melissa include outdoor education and reading and writing. Her educational background includes a B.A. from Pacific University in Anchorage and an M.A. in language, reading and culture from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Melissa has 16 years of experience teaching grades 3, 4, and 6 at West Homer Elementary School. She has a reading endorsement and is a 6-Trait Writing Trainer.
"The most important thing about teaching is helping students become successful life-long learners so that they are prepared for the world and can appreciate all the opportunities available to them. I'm looking forward to supporting new teachers throughout the state and building relationships."
