David Bishko to help formulate a transparent picture of UA’s current administrative costs
Interim UA President Pat Pitney has appointed David Bishko as Business Strategist for the University of Alaska.
Bishko joined the statewide office on Oct. 19, and will serve in a temporary position under Interim President Pitney and will provide support to Chief Financial Officer Myron Dosch.
During this time he will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders at each university and statewide, to help formulate a transparent picture of UA’s current administrative costs.
He most recently was employed by Ravn Air Group as its chief commercial officer. Prior to his time with Ravn, Bishko was vice president with Seabury Consulting, a part of Accenture, responsible for business development and project execution, and prior to that role, he worked for Delta Air Lines.
Born and raised in upstate New York, Bishko received his Bachelor of Science from Stanford University and Master of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Bishko arrived in Anchorage from Atlanta, Georgia in March 2020 to act as CCO for Ravn Air Group. After the group unexpectedly declared bankruptcy due to COVID-19, Bishko and his wife made the decision to stay in Alaska.
He currently lives in Anchorage with his wife, Robyn, and their dog. He and his wife have two grown children, one a recent college graduate and one who is a sophomore in college. In his free time he enjoys hiking and recently invested in cross-country skis, ice skates and a fat-tire bike which he hopes to use as he explores his new community.
