Welcome to Spoke! - New HR Tool for UA
At the University of Alaska, we value using new, innovative tools that enable each and every one of us to work better together. This is why the Office of Human Resources is excited to launch Spoke, a simpler, smarter way to manage human resources requests. Spoke is an additional way for university employees to contact human resources. With Spoke, employees can easily access answers to HR questions and request assistance with HR services.
All UAF and SW employees received access to Spoke starting Sept. 3. All other University of Alaska employees will have access starting Sept. 16.
To use Spoke university employees have several options:

Here's what users can expect:
- Spoke will learn which questions should be assigned to specific teams within UA Human Resources; as it learns, users may receive email notification that a request has been reassigned
- There are many changes underway at the University of Alaska! We'll do our best to respond to your request within two business days. As we train this new tool we anticipate that the response time will shorten. Eventually Spoke will know the answer to many common questions automatically.
If you ever want to see the status of your question or request, you can easily log into the web-app to view the status of it in your Sent folder.
