Gwendolyn Gruenig was appointed head of the institutional research function for the university system in 2005. Prior to that she held positions at University of Alaska Planning & Budget as well as UAF's Institute of Northern Engineering, Arctic Region Supercomputing Center, and Planning Analysis & Institutional Research. She is a former UAF adjunct statistics faculty and also served as principal owner of a private data science consulting practice.  Her education includes an undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate degree in statistics.

Kevin Swenson joined UA Data Analysis & Institutional Research in August 2022. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the UAF in May 2022. Prior to joining the team, he was the general manager of KSUA student radio.
