Registration is now open for IGNITE 2026
Graduate students share their personal experiences of grad school with undergraduates during a discussion in a student track session, "What is grad school?" facilitated by Holly Martinson and Tracey Burke at IGNITE 2024, which took place in Anchorage at the Hotel Captain Cook.
Our annual professional development workshop, "IGNITE: Individual Growth & New Ideas Through EPSCoR/INBRE" will take place January 7, 2026 at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage, hosted in partnership with Alaska INBRE.
IGNITE 2026 offers a full day of professional development training for faculty, students, and staff. The workshop includes keynote speaker University of Alaska Anchorage professor Jessica Ross, presenting on Indigenizing research, University of Alaska Anchorage professor Kenrick Mock presenting on artificial intelligence for a lunch plenary session, and three targeted session tracks each tailored to meet the needs of faculty and researchers, students, and staff.
This workshop is open to all UA university faculty, students and staff, as well as non-university affiliated Alaska EPSCoR and Alaska INBRE research partners who are interested in attending.
Spots are limited, so register now to reserve your seat!
Limited travel funding is available for those traveling to Anchorage to attend. Register for the workshop and apply for travel funding within the registration form by November 19, 2025 to be considered for travel funding.
