Hagen New Office Manager for MAPTS

Shirley Hagen is the new office manager in the Mining and Petroleum Training Services (MAPTS) unit in Anchorage. Hagen administers the office for well control classes, mine safety and health association classes, Hzwoper, North Slope Training Consortium, and mechanical maintenance classes. She started her position on Dec. 16, and worked three months as a temporary worker before moving into the full-time position.

Hagen grew up in Hugo, Okla., and moved to Alaska in 1995. She has daughters who live in Anchorage and Wasilla, as well as two granddaughters, one grandson, and a son who lives in Oklahoma with two of Hagen’s grandsons.

In her free time, Hagen enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing, camping, and making jewelry and wine glass markers.

Oldmixon Joins Statewide Finance as Program Director

Lael Oldmixon will be joining the Office of Finance and Administration as executive director for the UA College Savings & UA Scholars programs. Most recently, Oldmixon served as director for undergraduate recruitment for University of Alaska Fairbanks. Oldmixon holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Michael’s College and a master’s degree from the University of Vermont and has served in various student services positions at three different universities during the previous twelve years.�

Statewide Finance Welcomes Gilligan

Vickie Gilligan has joined the Office of Finance and Administration as senior accountant. Gilligan previously served in the human resources accounting and payroll for many years. Gilligan has an undergraduate degree from University of Alaska Fairbanks and holds a CPA professional certification.

Willis Returns to Facilities and Land Management

Lynette Willis returned to her previous position as fiscal manager with Facilities and Land Management on Jan.15. She replaces Robin Calvert who left to take a position with UAA Campus.
