Happy Holidays!

Holiday message

In a few days, we will leave our respective university campuses and head home to embrace the holiday season. Whether you are an administrator, faculty, a member of our student body or university staff, my wish for each of you is that the holiday season brings joy and happiness to you and your family.

I keep the university, and all of you, in my heart and in my prayers all year long, but during the holiday season we have the chance to express gratitude for everything that we’ve received both tangible and intangible, personally and professionally throughout the year.

Last week, I had the pleasure of narrating “Twas the Night Before Christmas” at the Design Alaska Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert and it reminded me of the magic we share at this time of year. So until we ring in 2020 and return to campus, may the magic of the season fill your homes, and may you find many reasons for joy and fulfillment in the New Year.

I wish you all a blessed Christmas and a New Year that is full of good health, laughter, joy, and peace.

Happy holidays,
Jim Johnsen
