UA in Review 2006
UA in Review is developed by Statewide Planning and Budget Development using data stored in the UA Decision Support Database. This system-wide data mart combines information from UA administrative information systems such as historical university databases and the BANNER financial, student, and human resource modules. To meet official university reporting requirements and ensure consistency over time, data are extracted directly from the UA administrative information systems at specific dates during the year and stored in the database. The information contained in the 2005 edition of UA in Review can be replicated in the future when querying the database. Consistency among years is assured by extracting data at the same time each semester. Student data reported in this publication are the closing fall semester data extracted from the BANNER Student module about four weeks after the end of classes, representing the activity throughout the semester. Human resource information in this publication is based on the official fall reporting data extract taken on October 1st each year from the BANNER Human Resource module. Federal law and the National Center for Education Statistics mandate this reporting date for employment statistics. Campus personnel are responsible for entering and maintaining the data for their campus in the UA administrative information systems. The information reported in UA in Review is only as accurate and valid as the data made available in the system.
