Don Foley has worked at the University of Alaska Fairbanks since 1991 in a variety of student services positions.  Prior to coming to Alaska, he worked for five years at Utah State University in multiple positions in the Department of Residence Life.  Before that, he worked at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in Residence Life.  In all three institutions dating back 25 years, Foley has had significant university judicial affairs responsibilities.  While at UAF, Foley has had wide generalist responsibilities, supervising at different times Residence Life, Health and Counseling, Judicial Services, Wood Center, Upward Bound, Career Services, and ASUAF.

Foley received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pacific in History and Political Science, and his master's degree from Oregon State University in College Student Services Administration, with a minor in sociology.

Foley enjoys long standing professional affiliations with with ASCA (Association for Student Conduct Administration) and NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education), and has served as a board member for the NASPA western regional organization.

Beyond work, Foley enjoys travel, sports (particularly baseball and hockey), jazz and country music, and reading.
