Adrielle Jones
Gift Coordinator
UA Foundation

Adrielle Jones has joined the UA Foundation team as Gift Coordinator for the sytem. Her primary role is assisting with fiscal tracking, donation receipts and acceptance of donations and gifts.

Working for the Fairbanks North Star Borough, Emergency Management Department was Jones' favorite previously held position. She handled the administrative aspects within the office, keeping things running smoothly so the other members of the department could focus on the larger-scale mission. This is what she expects to do for the UA Foundation as well! She thoroughly enjoys working for a department whose mission she can get behind, and philanthropic support of education is a great thing.

Jones was born and raised in Fairbanks. She met her husband here; he was also a student at UAF. When his employer offered them the opportunity to transfer to Montana, they took it. They spent a few years enjoying beautiful Missoula, MT but when their son was born they decided it was time to come home.

Much of Jones' training has been provided by employers over the years. Her formal education was mostly through UAF, with a few classes from the University of Montana. She majored in Accounting with a minor in Emergency Management. When she decided to go back to work after a couple years home with her son, she finished up her AA in accounting.

Jones enjoys aerial silks, aerial yoga, and anything acrobatic. As a family they snowboard, and enjoy working toward increasing self-sufficiency and Alaska preparedness.

SW Human Resources staff changes

The SW HR front office recently underwent a reorganization of staff. The changes were effective October 15:

Nycolett Ripley (ncripley@alaska.edu, 907-450-8215), previously executive assistant to the chief human resources officer, is now the SW HR project specialist. She will be the lead for the UA Organizational Culture project, along with other assigned projects, under the direction of the CHRO.

Jennifer Ostrom (jlostrom@alaska.edu, 907-450-8216), previously the SW HR Office Coordinator, is now the executive assistant to the CHRO. She will be keeping higher level PPA duties such as recruitment paperwork and assisting hiring managers at Statewide for the foreseeable future.

Tasha Leach (tmevans@alaska.edu, 907-450-8178) joined the SW HR office several months ago and will now take on Jennifer's previous role as the HR Office Coordinator. She will be taking on the coordinator duties and many of the PPA duties such as timesheets for the SW TKLs, so please watch for emails from her.

CHRO Keli McGee is excited to have the new team in place and is looking forward to working on the culture project. Please continue to cc Nycolett on anything needing her attention as she will be working with both Jennifer and Tasha for the next couple of weeks as they adjust to their new roles.
