Congratulations and welcome to the University of Alaska! This page is designed to be a one-stop-shop to provide you with your new employee orientation materials. If you have any questions on your benefits, please reach out to your HR Coordinator or to ua-benefits@alaska.edu and include your UA ID.

New Employee Orientation is held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Orientation is held virtually over Zoom from 8:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m.

Your HR Coordinator will schedule you for your New Employee Orientation session. Please reach out to them to confirm you are scheduled. You will receive a Zoom link along with additional information the Friday before your scheduled orientation. 

As a new employee, there are several required action items that need to be completed within your first 30 days of employment. 

You will receive a Due Date Guide the Friday prior to your scheduled orientation. This will outline the items below, along with your 30-day due date.

At orientation, we will go into detail on each of the 5 required action items below: 

  1. Health Care forms
  2. Retirement forms
  3. Required training 
  4. HR Address
  5. Beneficiary form
