Curriculum

Middle School courses were built using six competencies critical for success: social emotional learning, interpersonal skills, academic skills, career knowledge, college knowledge, and transition skills. Middle School lessons may be presented in any order and have been written to allow for completion in 1–2 standard class periods.

High School courses were built from the Ed Rising National curriculum with added concepts and content that pertain to Alaska students and teachers. The lessons may be taught in one, three or five day sessions depending with increased time and depth as the session progresses.

The first two courses of the Educators Rising program have been aligned to UAS ED S122. Dual Enrollment credit is available by completion of both high school courses. A Course Pacing Guide is available to teacher leaders for recommended pacing and will serve as a reference for mandatory units and assessments aligned with the UAS course objectives.
