What are my options?
We are offering two trips this year. The first and second trip will take place right before traditional Orientation, as the itinerary shows on the previous page.
- Backpacking in Denali State Park: Kesugi Ridge - August 26-30
Strap boots to your feet and a pack to your back, because you’ll be walking 20 miles of the beautiful Kesugi Ridge in Denali State Park overlooking the Alaska Range . We'll hike up the ridge on the first day, across the ridge the next day and spend the third day doing a day hike to a near by peak. On the fourth day we'll hike out a different trail and head back to Fairbanks. This is a sure thing for four days of amazing views, challenging hikes, good friends, and you might even see a bear!
- Canoeing the Tanana River - August 26-30
This trip will be an exciting adventure navigating the powerful Tanana River by canoe. The Tanana snakes its way through some fantastic terrain as it crosses Interior Alaska. Work on paddle skills and make new friends on this exciting trip. Wildlife and spectacular landscapes will be sure to amaze everyone. Each night we'll be camping and cooking over backpacking stoves and the occasional campfire.
