We've got some great opportunities for everyone this summer. We are catering to both the low-budget beginners and to the experienced who are looking for professional development as well as those looking looking to spend some money on a great adventure North.

3  White Mountains Hiking - 12-mile Summit: Hike the alpine tundra and see the seasons change as you gain elevation.

14-22 Wilderness First Responder Class - EMS 152: This advanced wilderness medicine course is a must for those who work or play in remote locations          3 Credits         $250 Field Fee  
24-30 Intermediate Sea Kayaking: Paddle around the breath-taking Resurrection Bay out of Seward. Learn the skills for expedition sea-kayaking. You'll be a participant model for a 300-level NRM course. $345 $413  
24-30 Brooks Range Backpacking: See the timeless arctic landscape and gain the experience for finding your own adventures. You'll be a participant model for a 300-level NRM course (this is why it is cheaper than the July trip).

4,7,8,14 ACA Canoe Course: Learn the necessary skills to paddle a tandem canoe on Class I water. Navigate various river features as well as learn safety measures and paddle strokes.  $235 course fee
2-6 Professional Climbing Instructor Association Top and Base belayed Instructor Course: These 5 days of instruction and examination will provide the climber with a recognized instructor level certification. This certification will be invaluable to a resume and open doors to climbing and outdoor-educational jobs. We'll be operating at Grapefruit and Granite Tors. 7-8 Paddle Raft Guide Training: Learn how to manage a paddle raft full of gear from the experts at Denali Outdoor Center. On the Nenana River we'll learn the basics and details of navigating a river with such a large boat. A must do for anyone looking to do some expedition rafting this summer.

10-13 Gulkana Raft: Join us for an exciting raft trip from Paxon lake to Sourdough Camp. $324 $388
14 Whitewater Raft & Hike: Go for a hike in the morning and then head onto the Nenana River for some heart-pounding rafting. $84 $100
15 Rock Climbing: Learn the basics of rock climbing in Alaska's beautiful White Mountains. What better way to experience the Alaskan Summer? $30 $36
17-29 Beginner Rock Climbing Class: Sign up and learn to rock climb from certified instructors. Experience the awesome Alaskan summers from fantastic rock faces.  1 credit, $155 field fee
18 Chena River Raft: A great chance to get out and paddle on the swift moving Upper Chena River via our new rafts.

25 Fairbanks by Canoe: Enjoy the mid-night sun on this evening float through Fairbanks.

26-29 Delta Range Backpacking: Join us on an awesome multi-day backpacking trip in the towering Delta Range and maybe even bag a few peaks! $130 $156
27 Angel Rocks Dinner Hike: Start the weekend off right by hiking to Angel Rocks and enjoying a wonderful dinner with a view. $32 $38

2-7 Brooks Range Hike: Travel far to the north and take part in our fantastic multi-day backpack in the wilderness of the Brooks Range. $399 $428
9-15 Sea Kayaking Class: Fjords, glaciers, wildlife and learning how to paddle await you in this great class! 1 credit, $562 field fee
12 Gulkana Glacier Hike: Experience the power of moving ice on the mighty Gulkana Glacier. $59     $71
17 Chena River Canoe: The Upper Chena is a great place to improve basic canoe strokes and enjoy a nice Alaskan weekend.

19 Inflatable Whitewater Kayaking: Travel down to the Nenana River with us to hike in the morning and whitewater kayak in the afternoon. $99 $118
19 Angel Rocks Hike and Soak: Hike up to amazing Angel Rocks and then down to Chena Hot Springs (8 miles) and enjoy a relaxing soak. $50 $60
20 Rock Climbing: Give rock climbing a try at scenic Grapefruit Rocks in the White Mountains. $30 $36
23 Rescue and Rolling Kayak Session: Head on out to Chena Lakes to practice your kayaking skills. $30 $36

1-3 Glaciology: Spend 3 days exploring the magnificent Gulkana Glacier and get an introduction to field techniques for monitoring glacier changes.

1-7 John River Rafting Trip: The John River flows through the Gates of the Arctic National Park in the Brooks Range. Enjoy a Beaver flight into the Wild and Scenic River and relax with 5 days of paddling our new rafts down to Bettles.

9-12 Tanana Canoe Trip: A fantastic chance to get out and experience the mighty Tanana River by canoe as stretches across the Interior.

15-18 Kesugi Ridge Backpack:  Mid-August is a great time to explore Kesugi Ridge in Denali State Park. Take part in a great backpacking trip with breathtaking views.
