Alternative Spring Break
The Alternative Spring Break Program is an intense and amazing opportunity for students to spend their Spring Break making a difference. Our projects in the past have ranged from doing conservation work to building homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
ASB 2008 took place in Washington, D.C. the team broaden their perspectives on hunger and homelessness issues. While making a difference in Washington, D.C. the students were inspired to return to Fairbanks and make an impact in their community. Plans are already set for National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week November 16-22, 2008.
In the Spring of 2009 we will be working in a small town within Alaska. Contact us for more information.
In the summer of 2009 we plan to travel to El Salvador and help those who live in poverty.
Join our team and help make this experience your own by getting involved from the very beginning. Contact: asb@uaf.edu
