Outdoor Adventures Assistant - Full
Student Assistant B: $8.50 per hour
TYPICAL DUTIES: Responsible for assisting in the development and the execution of the UAF Outdoor Adventures Program. Assisting in organizing, outfitting and leading short adventures; cleaning, repairing, organizing and maintaining inventory of outdoor equipment; planning and executing on campus events and assorted office projects.
Computer Layout Assistant - Positions Available for Fall 2008
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES: Create the print advertising (flyers, buttons, posters, brochures, etc.) for campus activities and web design.
Student Activities Assistant - Positions Available for Fall 2008
Student Assistant B: $8.50 per hour
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
Responsible for the operation of Wood Center during evening and weekend periods. Responsibilities include necessary coordination of programs and supervision of the physical operations.
Laborer Supervisor - FULL
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
Responsible for those duties and skills necessary to provide the proper physical arrangements for meetings and programs held in Wood Center.
Front Desk Clerk - FULL
Student Assistant B: $8.50 per hour
Responsible for providing services at the main desk and the games area at Wood Center. Services include campus information; lost and found services; recreational (pool tables and bowling alley) services; campus switchboard; sale of cultural tickets; and sundry sale services.
Pub Sound Technician - FULL
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
Performs minor repairs, maintain orderly storage of equipment, operate audio-visual equipment as needed. Must be at least 21 year old to work for the Pub.
Sound Technician - FULL
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
Performs minor repairs, maintain orderly storage of equipment, operate audio-visual equipment as needed, and may be assigned to work laborer type duties.
Pub Supervisor - FULL
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
Responsible for the operation of the Pub during functioning hours. Responsibilities include necessary coordination of programs and supervision of the staff and physical operation.
Office Assistant - FULL
Student Assistant B: $8.50 per hour
Responsible for providing general office support for the Wood Center Offices.
Recreation Manager - FULL
Student Assistant C: $9.50 per hour
Responsible for the general physical operation of the Wood Center games area, including, the table games area, video machines and bowling alley.
Pub Attendant - FULL
Student Assistant B: $8.50 per hour
Enforce State laws and University policies with regards to the sale and serving of alcohol beverages and with regards to preparation of food; monitor, assess and act upon the consumption of alcohol of customers; customer services; food preparation; cashiering; sale of food and beverages; bussing and waiting of tables; cleaning of premises; stocking; assisting in planning, programming, and implementing activities programs; participation in programs/activities; participation in training programs and regular staff meetings. ••MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD OF AGE••

Responsible for the upkeep of the Polar Alley lanes and pinsetting machines (minor repair).

Provides physical arrangements for meetings, conferences, and special programs held in and by Wood Center. Performs light building maintenance.

Assist the Orientation Coordinator in implementing and planning Orientation.

Assist the Leadership Coordinator with the volunteer program, student organizations, and all leadership events.

Responsible for the development and execution of activity programming through the Student Activities Office. Supervises the purchasing and contract negotiation for planned activities. Responsible for the fiscal management of assigned programs. Trains and supervises student volunteers during events. Assists with any functions involved in operating programs sponsored by the Student Activities Office including but not limited to: club recognition, leadership programs and special projects.
