Who we are
What music are you currently grooving too?
I am always listening to a variety of music. I love a good mixture of classic rock, country and top hits. Right now I have Finger Eleven's Paralyzer playing.
What, if push comes to shove, is your all-time favorite album?
I can't pick just one album, I love music to much for that! I love listening to Journey, it can always put me in a good mood!
What was the first record you ever bought? And where did you buy it?
TLC's Crazy Sexy Cool was the first album I ever bought. My dad took me to this little dive of a shop called The Warehouse in Burbank California to buy it.
Which musician have you ever wanted to be?
When I was younger I wanted to be Debbie Gibson. She was the epitome of 80s chic. She had the best side pony tail and the perfect acid washed jeans. I used to make a stage out of blocks at school and sing her songs at the top of my lungs.
What do you sing in the shower?
I don't normally sing in the show. My room mates do not appreciate my musical talents that early in the morning!
What is your favorite Saturday night record?
It doesn't really matter what it is as long as it is LOUD, FAST and UPBEAT. Last weekend I listened to The Killers, this weekend it may be the Matt Lewis Band.
And your Sunday morning record?
All different stuff, it totally depends on my mood. Last Sunday I was listening to Ciara, the Gorillza, Brooke Valentine, the Killers, John Legend, and Anna Nalick. I like a mix of different beats and sounds. I like ballads but I also love a good hip hop song. I have very eclectic taste.

Either Where you want it to be TBS, or Break the Cycle Staind.

Disney tunes at McDonalds

What music are you currently grooving too?
I’ve been listening to Against Me! way too much, in fact I think my roommate already thinks I’m crazy. Also, Tegan and Sara just released a killer album full of indie goodness. And I’m always attempting to expand my musical horizons.
What, if push comes to shove, is your all-time favorite album?
Probably would have to be the entire discography of the Bouncing Souls- I have way too many favorite records to choose one from. A couple of my favorite bands though would be The Bouncing Souls, Against Me!, Alkaline Trio, Strike Anywhere, The Weakerthans, Bad Religion, Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Feeder and more...
What was the first record you ever bought? And where did you buy it?
haha. This is a terrible story. The first record I ever owned was given to me by my first girlfriend in 8th grade and it was the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Californication. Yeah, I had no idea what “fornication” was at that time. My mom asked me if I knew what it meant and I said no, and she said, go ask your girlfriend, so I did, and did I turn red…
First album I purchased was a compilation called Punk-O-Rama 3. POR3 opened my eyes to the world of punk rock, namely the Bouncing Souls. TBS changed my life more than anything I’ve ever listened to- let’s just say the first album I bought after POR3 was a Bouncing Souls album. My mom even made me let her listen to the song before I bought the album from Half.com. Half.com is 100% awesome.
Which musician have you ever wanted to be?
Greg Attonito, Tom Gabel, Thomas Kalnoky- The singers of The Bouncing Souls, Against Me! and Streetlight Manifesto/ ex-Catch 22. Attonito once told me to go wherever life took me, whatever happens, happens- Alaska happened!
What do you sing in the shower?
Do people actually do this a lot? This seems like it would be more awkward than fun- my brother does it sometimes, but he sings all over the place, so it just makes sense.
What is your favorite Saturday night record?
Depends on what’s going on- if I’m the driver I aim to expose the passengers to awesomeness- I convert people to my side of the spectrum religiously. My bets are Against Me! or one of my many compilations.
And your Sunday morning record?
Morning?
NAME: COURTNEY PRUITT, Student Assistant
What music are you currently grooving too?
Right now I am listening to T-Pain’s new CD and a few songs from Ciara’s new CD. But I try and change it up every once in a while.
What, if push comes to shove, is your all-time favorite album?
I think my favorite album would have to be Stevie Wonder’s Greatest hits, it has all the classics on it.
What was the first record you ever bought? And where did you buy it?
I think it was a CD by SWV. I remember saving up my money and going to Wal-Mart to go get it.
Which musician have you ever wanted to be?
I don’t think I have ever wanted to be a musician, but if I had to pick just one I would have to Janet Jackson, because she can do it all (sing, and dance) I think her confidence is what makes her the artist she is today.
What do you sing in the shower?
I don’t sing in the shower. In the morning I am usually just trying to stay awake!
What is your favorite Saturday night record?
Anything with a good beat that gets me moving.
And your Sunday morning record?
I’d have to say something mellow, and calming, maybe a nice jazz album.
