UA Benefits Introduces Healthyroads On-Site Program Manager

Sara Rodewald

Sara Rodewald currently serves as Healthyroads dedicated, on-site program manager for the University of Alaska. She is based at the Fairbanks campus. In this role, she will provide direct, on-site support at the Fairbanks location as well as additional campus’ around the state.

Rodewald started with American Specialty Health, Inc. as a Health Coach in the Carmel, IN office. In this role, she provided telephonic coaching to several different client groups. The telephonic coaching focused on behavior change, meeting the member where they are and helping to support making positive changes to their health and wellness as well as providing a high-level of customer service directly to members. This included conversations around diet, exercise, stress management, tobacco cessation and anything else that would be beneficial for the member experience.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and was born and raised in Indiana. In her free time she enjoys live music, being active outdoors and anything and everything to do with the cooking process—finding new recipes, grocery shopping, and then of course enjoying what was created! She is looking forward to exploring the beautiful state of Alaska and making the most of living here as well as working with the university on improving the health and wellness of their employees, spouses and FIPs.

If you have any questions or would like to get more involved please feel free to contact Sara directly at: sararo@ashn.com. Right now she is actively recruiting for ‘Wellness Champions’ at each campus location. These individuals will have a great opportunity to not only work closely with the wellness program but also to share their experience and wellness success stories to help those who may need a little additional help in getting started themselves!
