Happy Retirement Earl!

Earl Voorhis will be retiring April 30, 2015 after almost 26 years with UA Statewide.� Voorhis was first hired as a student technician working for the University of Alaska Computer Network Control Center in the fall of 1985. He became a full time Network Tech starting July 6, 1989 and has remained with the department helping to manage UA's internet and wide area networks ever since.

We thank Earl for his many years of service and wish him the best in retirement.

UA General Counsel Recognized with 2015 Pro Bono Award

UA General Counsel has been selected to receive the 2015 Pro Bono Award from the�Alaska Bar Association. Although going to the entire department, it is attributable to the pro bono work of Larry Zervos, Mike O'Brien, Andy Harrington and Matt Cooper. The award will be presented by the Chief Justice at the evening banquet on Thursday, May 14 during the annual convention.�

Milke Completes ACP Certification

Dianne Milke, Executive Assistant to President Gamble, has successfully completed the Advanced Paralegal Certification program on Contracts Administration/Contracts Management. Milke is now entitled to use the ACP credential in connection with her paralegal work. We congratulate Dianne in this significant career achievement.

The UA Foundation's Amber Gichard has been named one of the School of Management's Outstanding Graduates for 2015. Good work Amber, and congratulations on your accomplishment!
