Congratulations to Laycie Schnekenburger: Certified Internal Auditor

Laycie Schnekenburger of Internal Audit recently earned her certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). She worked hard to attain this while working full-time and raising a family.

In the field of accounting, the CIA is one of the renowned certifications and is internationally recognized. It is a challenging certification to obtain, requiring a significant investment of time, experience and rigorous testing.

This certification elevates Schnekenburger professionally and the whole university internal audit department in its standing of professional experience and accreditation. Congratulations!

John Rader
Programmer Analyst OIT Enterprise Application Services: Finance team

John Rader has joined OIT Enterprise Application Services. He will maintain and develop finance software for UA.

Prior to joining OIT, Rader worked as an IT technician at University of Kansas, and as a Web programmer at "The A Group" a multimedia/ Web development firm in Nashville, Tenn.

This is a return to Alaska for Rader. He was born in Anchorage, and grew up in Anchorage and in Kodiak.
Rader attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a bachelor's in economics. He also attended the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he eaned a Juris Doctor with concentration in International Law.

Rader has an interest in studying foreign languages. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and boating.
