Trees Removed for Safety

Annually, in compliance with an approved development plan, UA Land Management clears some trees in Fairbanks from the property that is leased to Sunrise Coffee at the corner of Farmers Loop and College Road. This is as much for safety as development reasons.

The cutting is expected to take place at the end of August/beginning of September.

The Statewide Staff Picture Day earlier in the month was deemed a success by all involved. Nearly 50 participants were involved in the photo day.

The Office of Public Affairs hosted a free picture event where statewide employees and students at the Butrovich building were welcome to come and have a professional head shot taken and edited, at no cost to the individual.

Some offices like UA Foundation took advantage of the photo day and even took group shots and photos with friends.

OPA hopes to offer this event to staff early again next year. Thank you for your part in making it a success. Here is a sampling of some of the fun photos from the day.
