Background and Research Interests:
Dr. William Bristow's current research interests include included studies of winds in the upper atmosphere, studies
of the magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, and space-weather effects on radio
propagation, which directly impacts radio communications in high-latitude regions. Dr. Bristow is the principle investigator for the SuperDARN network which consists of two radar systems in
Alaska.
