The B. S. in Civil Engineering includes 135 credit hours of course work. This includes CE major courses and technical electives as well as Perspectives on the Human Condition. Perspectives on the Human Condition courses range from Sociology 100X to Ethics 300X. It is important for students to keep in close communication with their advisors to ensure that they are following their calendar year's requirements.
We hold an advising week every spring and fall for one week, look for posters around campus or contact our main office 474-7241.
For more information please see the UAF online catalog as well as the basic core requirements.

What is a Calendar Year?
The year in which a student is admitted into the CEE department is their calendar year. For the rest of the student's academic career they must follow their declared calendar year in order to have the proper requirements to graduate from the CEE program. Students have seven years to complete their B. S. degree once they have declared a major.
For more information please see the UAF online catalog
