The Alaska Tech Prep Consortium was formed in May 2004 as a result of discussions among members of VTEP (Vocational/Technical Education Providers) to build a statewide system for tech prep. It was determined that this statewide system would provide opportunities to articulate current programs and expand understanding of tech prep across Alaska.
The consortium has an oversight board consisting of secondary and postsecondary educators as well as industry representatives. Click on the link below for pictures and bios of board members.
The consortium hired a coordinator and two tech prep specialists to carry out consortium objectives. Click the link below for pictures and contact information for the Alaska Tech Prep Consortium staff.
