Student and Enrollment Strategy

Counselor Resources

This is the week we hope that as many students as possible will apply to UA. College Application Week seeks to foster a strong college going culture in Alaska and to help students get started with their application process early. Your work with students is critical.  As a counselor you have access to students. You also have access to parents. Combined, the three parties - counselors, students, and parents - make the decision to apply to college. Please work with students so they apply to UA in mid-November. Applying in the spring, as some do means that some forms of financial aid might have been taken already by others.

All applications to University of Alaska are done through the University’s portal, UAOnline, https://uaonline.alaska.edu/. Paper applications are also accepted. Students are under no obligation to attend once they apply, but applying is a good first step to starting the college process. University of Alaska staff are available to assist with applications.
