Events occur every fall in Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks. We welcome and encourage counselors to attend the events and celebrate with your Scholars. It's a great time to meet representatives (students, faculty and staff) from the three main campuses and learn more about the exciting opportunities awaiting your students at the University of Alaska.
Refreshments are served and parking is free at all events. Click here for more information on the events.
All Scholars must apply for admission to a certificate or degree program at a UA Campus by May 1 of the school year in which they're expected to graduate from high school, or their Award will permanently expire. Scholars can apply online at uaonline.alaska.edu. Scholars who wish to utilize their leave of absence must still apply by the May 1 deadline and postpone their Award by notifying their admissions office. Please visit our Student Resource page for campus contact information.
Encourage all of your students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.gov. Additional guidance is available through our financial aid offices and information on privately funded scholarships for UA students is online at www.alaska.edu/foundation. The deadline for the majority of all scholarships is February 15 for the next academic year.
The UA Scholars Award may be used to pay eligible expenses such as undergraduate tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies and other educational costs incurred for attendance at the University of Alaska.
