Andrew Parkerson-Gray was appointed Director of the UAF Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) in October 2005 by Vice Chancellor for Research Virgil (Buck) Sharpton. In his role as OSP Director, he oversees all pre-award research administration activities for the University of Alaska Fairbanks, including final approval of approximately 1,000 proposals each year as UAF’s Authorized Organizational Representative.

From 2002-2005, Parkerson-Gray worked for OSP as a Pre-Award Administrator and Senior Pre-Award Administrator before assuming the Director position. Prior to working at OSP, he was a Proposal Coordinator for the UAF Geophysical Institute from 1999-2002. Parkerson-Gray also worked with an international high school exchange program for the American Councils of International Education in Moscow, Russia.

He has a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and 19th/20th Century Literature from Portland State University and currently holds the title of Certified Research Administrator (CRA), granted by the Research Administrators Certification Council.
