Associate Vice Chancellor Eric Pedersen serves as a member of the Student Affairs executive team and has oversight over all Enrollment Services. 

Pedersen has over 25 years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, enrollment management and financial aid at institutions spanning from career colleges to comprehensive universities to highly selective liberal arts colleges. Prior to his service at University of Alaska Anchorage, he served as the Dean of Enrollment Management at Saint Martin’s University, Director of Admissions at Cornish College of the Arts, Associate and Assistant Director of Admissions at Whitman College, and Assistant Director of Admissions and Admission Representative at The Art Institute of Seattle. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of students.

Pedersen has an exciting track record of recruiting students from Billings, Montana to Bangkok, Thailand. His experience includes: developing outreach plans for high school, transfer and international students, creating campus visit programs, developing student friendly communication plans and publications, and finding ways to help students leverage financial aid. He also has experience assisting institutions with strategic planning, assessment and accreditation.

Pedersen is currently the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services and is serving as President of the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC). He leads the Enrollment Services team, which includes the offices of Admissions, Electronic Student Services, Registrar, Student Financial Assistance and the Office of Student Information (UAA One-Stop). Their services revolve around helping current and future UAA students from the beginning of their education through graduation. 

Pedersen has earned a Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs form Azusa Pacific University in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Whitman College in 1989.
