Good Friends Make A Difference for Buddy

Buddy’s a lucky dog. After getting hit by a car in Big Delta on May 30, he lay by the roadside, badly hurt, for two days until he was rescued by UA employee Gary Hagestead.

Gary’s co-workers at ARSC and others in Butrovich donated cash and goods to sell to raise just over $1,000 to help pay Buddy’s vet bills.

After several surgeries, Buddy’s doing okay, though he may still lose his left rear leg because of severe nerve damage.

Thanks to Gary and his wife, and to all the others who helped, Buddy is now being properly cared for, and he’s being treated with love and respect. Both he and Gary are grateful for the support.

You can check on Buddy at his website: http://web.acsalaska.net/~gary.hagestead/rescue/
