About the UAF web server
The UAF Roxen webserver (www.uaf.edu) hosts accounts for UAF Departments and Organizations. Faculty, staff, students and student organizations can create a Google site using their Alaska.edu Google Applications for Education accounts.
The information below is for reference access to legacy Apache sites. The Apache web server is scheduled to be no longer available starting July 1, 2010.
Departmental accounts are a shared resource for a department and are managed by one or more people within that department. Departments are solely responsible for the content of pages on their account and for the behavior of individuals using their account. In cases where a faculty member is teaching a class and needs web resources for it, the faculty member should look into either the Blackboard web server or the Faculty web server.
