The mission of the Program Management Office (PMO) is to enable a project management culture so that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with expected results.  

in support of this mission, the PMO will:

•      Partner with the project manager and team to provide project management support and mentoring, and to facilitate project reviews.


•      Deliver training on the UA Project Management
  Methodology and communicate project management best practices.


•      Continually improve the UA Project 
  Management Methodology.

OIT Project Management Office Goals

v  To increase communication across OIT and out to the university community.

v  To increase efficiency by incorporating a planning process for projects rather than responding to surprises.

v  To list information essential for cross-department communication on all projects that involve resources outside a single OIT department and are more than two weeks in duration.  Project Managers and Resource Managers with such projects are required to submit their project information to the portfolio.

v  To enable a quarterly planning cycle.
