Overview

This service provides server administration of department owned and OIT maintained Windows servers, as well as backup and maintenance of department owned servers. It enables UAF and UA Statewide departments to easily share files, applications, and printers while removing the need for accumulated space on local drives. The service includes installation of operating systems, server configurations, installation of OS patches, network/firewall provisioning, and installation of applications as necessary.

UAF and SW faculty and staff.

Requirements

Department must provide fund and org number or server hardware if appropriate.

Contact the OIT Support Center to submit a request.

Availability

Requests for service are processed weekdays from 8am to 5pm. Servers are available 24 hours per day. Exceptions include: scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages.
