Network Printers

Overview

This service provides consolidated print servers for UAF and UA Statewide domain printers. It includes fee-based printing services in OIT maintained computer labs, and monitors and maintains network print queues.

Service Users

UAF and SW faculty, staff and students.

Requirements

Customers must have an account on the UAF or UA Statewide domain.

Some printers, such as multi-function printers, are not supported.

Rates

The service is free of charge to UAF and SW staff and faculty.

UAF students use the Polar Express card swipe located next to printer in lab. Cost is .10˘ per b/w print and .25˘ per color print.

Get Started

Contact the OIT Support Center to submit a request.

To connect to shared printers existing on the network: UAF Faculty and Staff may manually map printer. For UA Statewide some printers map automatically, including printers in OIT-maintained computer labs.

Availability

Requests for service are processed weekdays from 8am to 5pm.

Printers are available 24 hours per day. Exceptions include: scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages.
