Blackboard is UAF's web based course management system that allows instructors to develop and deliver course materials online.

Instructors use Blackboard to post documents, assignments, quizzes and exams and to moderate forums, provide virtual office hours, and more. Students are able to check their grades, submit assignments, and interact with each other and the instructor.

Blackboard is used for distance education classes that are taught entirely online as well as to complement traditional face-to-face classes.

Launch UAF Blackboard

UAF students, faculty, and staff.

New and returning student accounts are automatically created daily at 4am.

Users require a UA Username and UA Password. To use Blackboard you will need a computer with the following: Minimally, Windows XP with SP 3, or Mac OS X 10.4 or higher One of the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7 or higher Firefox 3.0 or higher Safari 3.0 or higher Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 13 or higher Users must be in compliance with the following: University of Alaska: Acceptable Use of Online Resources University of Alaska Board of Regents Policy of Information Resources
