Manage on-site and off-site tape libraries. Load and remove media from automated tape storage devices. Order and receive new data tapes used in the Butrovich Computer Facility. Oversee destruction of expired tapes.

Tape devices must reside in the Butrovich Computer Facility. Storage owner must provide documentation for tasks to be handled by Data Center Operations staff. Use must be in compliance with the following: University of Alaska: Acceptable Use of Online Resources and the University of Alaska Board of Regents Policy of Information Resources
