UAF Desktop Alerts
All OIT-controlled desktop computers have been outfitted with an emergency notification program known as Alertus. This software allows emergency personnel to instantly notify every person using any computer with the software on the University network statewide. The software also requires the computer user to acknowledge the alert before they can continue working on the computer. The alert system has the capability to reach everyone on campus within a matter of seconds.
Fairbanks Alerts
Keep up to the minute on Fairbanks Community Emergencies using Nixle. The UAF Police Departent, as well as the Fairbanks Police Department, send notifications of incidents that affect the local community through the Nixle service.
