Overview
Elluminate Live! provides the opportunity for live, synchronous learning and collaboration. It is UAF's web meeting tool that is available for any type of distance activity - be it a course or meeting. Instructors and meeting facilitators can schedule and deliver Elluminate sessions and their recordings through UAF Blackboard and http://elive.uaf.edu. Features that might be available in your Elluminate sessions include: voice over the Internet, video, shared whiteboards, instant messaging, breakout rooms, application sharing, and more.
Requirements
Computer must be compatible with the Elluminate Software. Go to Elluminate's support page for more information.
Active internet connection. Minimum network connections as low as 28.8Kbps dial-up connections. Recommended a broadband connection to avoid excessive buffering during session
Computer should have pop-up blocker turned OFF or Elluminate Live! allowed.

3. run the set up on the Elluminate Live! support webpage one time at least a half hour before first meeting
4. a link to the meeting (provided by the moderator) with the date and time of the meeting

Get Started
Initiate service request through the OIT Support Center.
Customers are able to setup their own Elluminate Live accounts by registering for a new account at http://elive.uaf.edu. The use of Elluminate Live in UAF Blackboard is at the discretion of the course instructor.
Availability
Service is available 24 hours a day. Exceptions include: scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages.
