After Hours Help Desk

Overview

Provide limited support for IT operations during the hours the Support Center is not staffed.

Service Users

UAF and UA Statewide students, faculty, and staff. UAA and UAS students, faculty, and staff for system-wide connectivity issues.

Requirements

Computer Operators who answer the phone are not trained in all Support Center areas. For tasks that must be handled by Support Center personnel, operators can fill out a call ticket to ensure timely response during Support Center business hours.

Use must be in compliance with the University of Alaska: Acceptable Use of Online Resources and the University of Alaska Board of Regents Policy of Information Resources.

The After Hours Help Desk is available at no cost to end users.

Customers request general assistance and report problems with this service through the OIT Support Center.
